Indoor chick bedding/litter?

Besides pine shavings, straw, hemp and sand, What can possibly be used for keeping chicken feet clean inside their enclosure while inside the house? I can't handle any dust or lung irritants. I am currently using paper bedding but it does not keep feet clean.
