Indoor herb garden

I have a chive seedling at home given to me by my carer. How do I make an indoor chive garden? Is it easy? Will my parents say yes or no to the indoor herb garden?

Chives will grow well indoors, especially in a south facing window. They’ll always do better outdoors in my opinion unless you have lots of artificial lighting inside.

Be warned when pruning them or otherwise damaging the leaves that they produces a very pungent oniony smell.
