Indoor Quaviary Build-a-Long

I do plan on putting some netting around the bottom of the aviary, as well as having two air purifiers, one on either side of it.
I was going to make the same comment as @Kiki. I wasn't planning to be in my current house so long when I first got quail so thought I'd be OK starting out with the birds in the garage. I have two air filters out there, but it's still a dusty mess. When I finally move into the country, I'll probably still incubate in the house and might brood them inside for the first week, or so, but they'll go outside as soon as possible.

I took some of my aviary apart to remove some of the sharp hog rings. The ones that are blocked by the liner are fine, but I was worried about the ones going up the corners.

I figured out a way to redo the corners with the other clips I bought, but the hardware cloth can't overlap. I need the edges to just meet at a 90 degree angle.

I'm beginning to re-think my build for several reasons: mess and space being the most significant.

What I'm thinking now is to build a couple of cages to keep a few button quail inside as pets. I have most of the supplies to do that now.

Then later, probably next spring, convert an outdoor greenhouse into an aviary to keep the coturnix outside. I'll be able to have more quail that way and have much less mess inside the house.

This will be more costly and push my egg and meat production back several months, but hopefully it will be better for all in the long run.

I'm really worried about predators, we have them all! Even bears and huge birds of prey like bald eagles and turkey vultures.

I was looking into electric fencing last night. It's expensive and it has to be taken down in the winter? And/or gets shorted out by the snow? What good is it then? For me, that is. My quail will be enclosed in their aviary. I'm only looking to keep out predators, not keep birds in.
