I just completed a 2 week test on my new fodder tower and growing barley sprouts for my chickens. In short, I was able to turn 1 lb of dry barely seed into about 5 lbs of sprouted barely greens in 8 days. This is something I am thinking about doing this winter when the snow is covering the ground and the chickens will not have fresh greens to eat.
