Inexpensive cameras

I am so happy others are loving these cameras as much as I do. Aren't they just the bomb?
I love my cameras too.
Thanks for starting this thread.

I don't even know how many we have now. We have a couple in the house that work together with the "Life360" app, they turn off when we get home so we don't videotape ourselves. It is so nice when I am traveling, I can check in and spy on my husband. :)

We recently lost one of our cats to cancer. I travel for work a lot, and it was really stressful to leave him when he was going downhill, not knowing if my husband would have to rush him to the ER or something. I was able to check in on him and it helped me so very much (I was home when his time came, thank goodness).

Im thinking about getting a few more for outside.
Do the outside cameras use batteries or AC. Just curious. I thought about them but the ones I looked at weren't water/rain proof and worked on AC so they would have to be plugged in. I have some game cameras pointed at my coops to see what is roaming around them especially at night. A coyote. The camera is about 60 feet from the coops mounted on a tree. I see usually coyote and fox most every night on at least on of the cameras.

This one injured it's right front foot. I see it sometimes.

AC power only at this point. But the company is young and developing new products. They say a waterproof version is coming. I still think it will be AC power though.

That being said, Amazon has tons of third party water "resistant" enclosures for these. I have both of mine in cheap enclosures just as a small layer of protection. Also, if you buy the cameras thru Amazon, you can add on a protection plan that costs peanuts. Since the cameras are only something like 20-30 dollars, the replacement/protection plan is something like 3 or 4 dollars.

This was posted several years ago here somewhere on BYC. A neighbor's dog was coming onto someone else's property and killed some birds. The property owner went and told the neighbor that his dog had killed her birds. The neighbor said it wasn't his dog. The property owner had seen the dog several times on her property and it had killed some of her chickens. The next time she saw the dog on her property, she shot it with a paintball gun. She didn't kill the dog but there was no denying that the dog was on her property.

Last night, this dog came right up on our property and killed 3 of my 6 girls. :(
He just murdered them and didn’t eat anything. We haven’t found out whose dog it is, and probably never will. I just hope we never see him again.

I love these cameras too. I only have 2 at the moment, but I’m about to order a couple more.
