I have 8 Production Reds. They are the worst ever at pecking at each other. I've had to apply blu-kote to the tail feathers multiple times on certain birds. The windows in the room are mostly blacked out and they are under red light. Are there any other remedies or preventative thing i can do to stop this?????

My suggestion would be to take out the most powerful chicken... when the chicken gets back it will be on the bottom of the pecking order and things will change including their behavior!!!
Good luck

I found that taking out the bully for 2 days worked pretty good, long enough to give her a "time out" (in the cat carrier) and yet it was not a problem to re-integrate her to the group after a short time.

Did you find a solution? I'm having the same trouble with a few of the younger pullets in my flock. I've removed the ringleader, but she's one mean pullet.
