(Infected?) Leg Wound on Hen - GRAPHIC CONTENT

Hey guys, thought you'd be interested in an update...

I've ended up taking her to the vet and apparently she's somehow broken her leg (I don't know whether it got caught or if the infection of the wound has spread and broken it). So she's been put on antibiotics and her leg has been cleaned, cream has been applied and been wrapped up. We're now waiting to go back to the vet this Friday for a check up. Hopefully she'll just need a splint(?) in her bone that can put it back together .... I'm praying her leg heals so it won't have to be removed

Anyway, I really appreciate the advice you have both given me & I hope it can help me for future references. Thanks so very much!!
