Someone just gave me 20 (12 BROWN & 8 whites) new hatched " Coturnix" chicks which supposedly came from all WHITE parents. However during conversation with this person i found out that they keep their Coturnix and their Bobwhites together.
She said there is no difference in appearance between Bob eggs and Coturnix eggs. That's why i asked on a different thread what color Bobwhite's eggs are ........
Anywayyyyyyyy.... my question is does anyone know what the maturity rate or egglaying age or etc. differences are when the birds are crossed like this? are the Browns "Bobs" or 1/2 and 1/2? Are the whites Coturnix or 1/2 and 1/2 ? Any ideas or info anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated!
