I have already sent Dan Hughes correspondence requesting entry forms, catalog, and any other information I would need. I have still not received any info. My children show broilers through 4-H in our county. They are 11 abd 6 and would like to try poultry shows. We have beautiful black mottled and blue cochins that they would like to show. If anyone has any good info on how to go about doing this for us 1st timers please let us know. Are they judged the same as meat birds or is it more about looks? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Danny should be getting the catalogs out within the next couple of weeks. It is a good show for children to start at. You can go to our web page, and we have basic information for the newcommer.

We hope this helps the Wenzels;)

Thank you so much for sharing!!!! Your website is very helpful with good information. I have already registered my children with the APA-ABA Youth Program. I myself have not registered with any association yet. We raise cochins and I myself raise Japanese Bantams(mottled specifically). What organizations would you suggest for me to register myself with?

I am trying to fill out the entry form. Which one do i check off Open or junior? My 2 children and I will be showing.

If you are entering only under your chidrens name then you would check Junior, if under yours and the kids name Open.
Don't forget your PT report

Bob

That will be allright , on the Pt
On the entery you should have two one for you and one for the JR you will show in the open show and they will show in the JR show
I just make copys one for me one for my wife and one for my son

Thank you so much for all the great information. We are so excited to try this. Can't wait to see everyone there.

Danny wanted me to remind everyone that has Japanese to bring em. He was able to Get a State Japanese meet for the show. He said that there has not been one in Texas for around 10 years as he recalls. So, Bring em so we can keep it going.
