Can you please extrapolate on that? Splash Red Wyandotte over my 4 GLW of course gave me blue lacing but the 4 cockerels were red and the single pullet orange? ( I haven't heard that term before, just washed out).
The lacing is as good as the dams.

"Orange" is another shade that is produced by Mahogany, like pink.
It's unusual for a bird with that coloring to show up out of red parents, but sometimes the offspring are just lighter colored. Gold is a very different shade.
I have seen many BLR with an orange ground-color.

But that isn't in the proposed Standard, correct? Like how hatchery quality Salmon Faverolle hens are often too dark. A Blue-laced Red should be red, not orange or gold.
