How is this breed in terms of egg laying ability and egg size? Thinking of getting some heritage breeds, but wanting a decent amount of eggs and egg quality.

I dont own dominiques, but heres what ive read:

They lay 230-270 a year i beileve. Brown medium sized eggs, around 4 eggs a week. And lay at roughly 6 months

They also breed true autosexing.

My Dominique is a reasonably-good layer of medium-to-large, pinkish-brown eggs.

I like my Australorps better, but she's a nice girl -- medium in the flock ranking and causes no trouble.
