Information on eye infections

Can anyone, please, tell me where I can find information out on eye infections on chickens?

I have tried a couple of times posting a question in regards to.

I have also tried calling vets, who want to charge me $100 to ask a question, I just don't have a $100 right now or I would be happy to pay it them, I'm sure they deserve the money.

I have also tried the sPCA and places like that. In addition, to the feed mill stores, and searching on line, not a strong point of mine.

Can anyone tell me where I can find information out? I simply want to know how to better take care of my roosters eyes and how long it will take to clear up we are on day 6 of him not being able to see, and what may be the cause, since there are no obvious signs or swelling.

Anyone?

Do you think he might have a respiratory illness? Some of them have eye problems as a symptom. Lots of info on the web. Here is an introductory article:

Thank you I will read this. He seems to breathing very well and no discharge. And as long as I feed him he eats. He is starting to gain some weight back and he even preened himself yesterday and today! He is doing better except the eyes are still closed.
