I found My 10 old month BO laying on the ground and not able to walk. I couldn't see any visible fracture, just an inflammation on her wrist. I isolated her in a crate with with food and water.
I'm taking her out (inside another crate) during the day so she can be around her sisters, she is eating and drinking as usual. but not laying eggs. at the beginning I suspected she was egg bound. I checked for that and its not the case.
I Just took this picture of her and her finger looks displaced?? I'm not sure....
help!

Yes, looks like a broken toe. Not sure what do do about it. Maybe a soft splint.

I had a large older EE with a similar problem. She does not like being handled, so I knew trying to treat wouldn't work. She limped for weeks, but it healed. Her toe is crooked, but it doesn't slow her down now.

@Wishing4Wings thank you for your reply! Its good to know that yours healed! was she also unable to walk at the beginning?
She spent a lot of time resting. The limp was pretty severe, but it was just her toe.
Your original post said your girl has some swelling. She might have a larger injury... maybe got her foot caught somewhere. It won't hurt to keep her isolated for a bit. Let her rest and make sure she is eating (but not too much, she is an Orp! :D) and pooping properly (plumbing is important!). It will give you a chance to see if there's anything else wrong.

What are you using for roosts?

Sadly the last time I bought chickens it wasn't through a good breeder (I can't remember the name) and now I have several chics with toe issues. A rooster with twisted toes, a hen with a limp/dead toe, and anouther hen with a hard curled toe. They all walk fine and it doesn't seem to bother them. Hopefully in the next 2 days she starts walking again and it'll heal on its own

I think it was a mild swallowing but I’m not really sure if it was swollen or not. She is not standing it all. Just moves little by little when wants to, or to eat and drink water. She was having diarrhea but I think because of the electrolytes/vitamins I was giving her. I stopped that and the diarrhea stopped. On the coop I have a 2x2 face down for roost. For her I don’t have any right now as she can’t use it. What I think it’s that she slipped on a pile of snow that we have in the backyard... the vet here is not an avian vet he does exotic animals thou. They are going to called me back to see how much will an X-ray be.

I’m sorry to hear that!! That’s a lot of toe issues!! Mine hasn’t being able to walk in 5 days!! I really hope it heals on it’s own. Every day I’m losing hope!

Is she using her wings to balance to get around? Does she drag one leg, hold it up, or put weight on both legs? Her toe might be crooked from birth, or it could be a recent injury. Was she vaccinated for Mareks disease? Is her tail position down or up? Does she lay eggs?

She uses mostly the right wing to balance. She doesn’t put any weight in the legs, and unable to stand it all. She never had any problems to walk before. She was vaccinated for Mareks as well as her 3 sisters. The tail position is sometimes up sometimes down. She stopped laying eggs as soon as this injury happened...also bumblefoot is not the case
