Injured chick

I have a chick that is not yet a day old. He has a cut or something on his stomach and one of his organs are hanging out of the cut. We don't know how it happened but we have 20 more chicks to hatch. What can we do to help him if possible and how can I prevent this from happening again. If he doesn't get better we will have to euthanize him.

Well by the sound of it, it's quite traumatic. I think you should re-post this in the emergency section of the forum.

Good luck, I really hope you can sort out this problem! You should probably try and find whatever hurt you're chick so it doesn't happen again..

If you go under the forum section you should find a "emergency" section, just copy and paste your text into a new thread within it. And make sure to mark it with urgent!

Are you sure it's not his umbilical chord or un absorbed yolk?

Im pretty sure it wasn't an umbilical cord because he died this morning.
