Injured duck leg with no sign of injury

That's bad bumble foot. Those bumps are staff infections. There is good info on here about how to treat. If you can get to vet, bactrim will help. Generic is called Smz/tmp I think. Ill pull it out tomorrow and give details. You need to clean their coop. Because its contagious. Don't feel bad it's not uncommon but can be fatal if untreated and gets in their bones. Do some research here on the site and then come back if vet is not an option and ill help where I can.

Really? I had no idea that it looked like that. I clean their cage every day, so I wouldn't think they would get it. Going to a vet really isn't an option since there's none anywhere near me that can see them anytime soon. Is there anything I can immediately do to try and help them?

start soaking your boy's feet in warm Epsom salt water daily [don't let them drink it] I use a bucket and put both feet into it makes it easier then just hold them for at least 10 min. after they dry you can put a drawing salve[TSC] over them and wrap their foot. We have info on wrapping let me know and I'll get it for you. When you run your finger over their foot do you feel a hard core?

I ran my finger over both their feet and don't really feel any sort of hard core. The bumps on their middle toe are slightly tougher and not as spongy as the rest of their foot, but doesn't really feel that hard.

As for wrapping, I would definitely appreciate any info on that, as I've never done that before. There is a nearby vet that while don't have time to see them, I might be able to talk to them and purchase some medication for my ducks. Thank you for the help!

Thank you so much! I found some of the lichthammol ointment online at TSC, but I'm not sure which one would be best to get. Do you happen to know which one would be best?

Drawing Salve 1
Drawing Salve 2

I figured the first one would be best, but just want to be 100% sure.

I don't think its far enough Long for a core yet. This happens usually through a small cut on the foot. Mine got it from stumbleing on sweet gum balls. we will help you through. The baytril is a good idea.

Just realized that it's going to take at least 4-6 days for the second salve to arrive since they don't sell it in stores. Since that's probably a bit too long to wait for the ointment, would the first option work just fine? Or would it be best to use something in the meantime while waiting for the second Salve to arrive in the mail?
