Injured Duck!!! *need immediate help!*

Thank you all very much. My boy's swelling has been eliminated, and he's back to normal. However, when we put him back in with our girls, he was trying to mate with one of my hens, so he's currently away from them. Thankfully, my girl was able to get away before he did, and I caught him just in time. This is new with him.

Good that he's better. Keep up with that injury, sometimes they flare back up again because there was just one itty bitty bit that did not heal.

Some duck girlfriends . . . . . .

I believe a few ducks of his very own would help him alot. Glad to hear he is back to normal.

I just went back and reread your original post that he does have some girls, sorry sometimes i need to have my memory refurbished. any way I think I'd keep the ducks and chickens separated and also would monitor his mating with the ducks just in case this happens again since he is now back to his old self.

I missed that, too. Yes, you may need to segregate them. Silly drake.
