Injured Pullet - do you think she'll make it?

As for your 2 chickens getting along, first off, do not put your injured bird back with the other one until she is completely healed.
Yes, it would be nice if chickens could all just get along. Unfortunately, that was not programmed into their DNA. Chickens are cruel when it comes to outsiders until the pecking order becomes established. Once that is out of the way, peace should once again return to the kingdom.

The general rule for adding new birds to an already existing flock is to wait until the newcomers are roughly the same size as the established birds. That way, they can at least defend themselves. You can't just put a new chicken in with your others just like that, they will do what they did, attack her.....
Unacquainted chickens are going to fight, and unfortunately there is not much that can be done about it. It is just in their nature.
What I have done before with new chickens is keep the new one in a smaller cage in the coop and/or in their run during the day so the others can see her but not hurt her. I've done it sometimes up to a week, and then one night I will put the new one on a perch because I know they won't bother her and in the morning they all run out like they've always lived together. But I would suggest that when you do finally put them together for the first time that you have the time to supervise them and also make sure you have the garden hose ready just in case anyone gets a little too out of hand. One quick shot of water should do it.

I second that!!

I had a pullet get stepped on by my horse. It ripped part of her back feathers and skin right off! It also broke her leg. I was ready to cull her and then I said she was still eating and drinking and limping on the one leg. I separated her so the other girls wouldn't do the attack the weak thingy, scrubbed the wound with betadine solution, put topical antibiotics on it, and believe it or not she is still with me today. She just hatched out in the end of Feb. 16 chicks!! You are so right that some of the nastiest things can heal and amaze you. The only thing I can tell about her is she is bow legged that's it. no scares or missing feathers at all from the skin injury.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions and offers of hope!
It's been a couple of days and she is still doing well. For the first two days, she spent her days in the run while the old chicken got the rest of the backyard, and her nights in my garage while the old one got the run/coop back. Today I built her her own fenced in area right next to the other run, so the old chicken can get used to seeing her. I got antibiotics for her water, but I'm not sure how much she's drinking. I've also used some neosporin. I'm sure she's not out of the woods yet but now I have more hope for her than when I first posted this question!
