I found our rooster this morning outside with a neck injury. There are no open injuries, no blood. It looks like he stuck his head somewhere, got stuck and rubbed his feathers off. The problem is, he isn't raising his head at all. Obviously worn out, I have him in our bathtub on a towel with access to water. He moves within the tub a few steps once in a while, but isn't really improving. Is there anything I can do to help him?

His stance most of the day.

You may not be able to do anything for him without veterinary care. He may have a dislocation.

Shoot. I don't know of any vets that help chickens in our area. Been looking all summer, but not been successful.

Wow. Thats scary! Im so sorry this is happening to your roo. If a vet doesnt specify in chickens you can always try an exotic vet or a local vet that has any experience with birds. Just a thought.

Me too. For now id keep him isolated and have the least amount of noise/excitement around him as possible. Anything that alerts him and causes him to jerk his neck may make it worse im imagining. Like us with a stiff neck, if we look a certain way quickly it hurts like hell.

He's secluded right now and the kids have been banned from that bathroom. A space heater is even in there to keep it around 70. I really hope he shows some improvement tomorrow.
