Injured three day old chick

Can’t really tell much: looks scabbed up.
It doesn't look like anything is broken or infected. She's healing really nicely. What a champ! I can't even imagine having a wound like that near your groin. I think she's going to be ok. If it's totally scabbed, keep an eye on it for pus and redness and make sure she's eating and drinking.
Thank you so much for your detailed reply. She is a champ. I could of sworn her leg was hanging on by skin only when I found her. She moves so fast yet wobbly on that one leg. I just don’t know what to do for the leg so she can start putting pressure on it.

Just a thought, try to put your pinkie finger in her gimpie foot, see if she'll grip it at

She hast really gripped my finger but I’ve noticed that her leg above the backwards knee bone moves but below that she drags it. I’ll try it again today.

Can you gently squeeze it the length of the bone, see if you feel that it's broken? Compare it to the healthy leg. Since she has a nice scab, see if you can splint it for stability.

Does she grip your finger with the bum leg?

I felt the legs and all I can feel is a HUGE scab Because of the size of her tiny leg. She didn’t really grip her toes but even on her good leg she doesn’t grip just more movable because that leg is mobile. I’m just hoping the scab is long ways and it’s sore and dry and it’s hard for her to bend it and it just feels funny for her. Still eating and drinking well so maybe when she picks up weight and growth I can tell more but by then.

How is the color of the bad foot? Is it a normal color? If you lightly put pressure on a toe,, will she try and pull it away? Some injuries that are bad can cause nerve damage or hinder the blood supply. I couldn't see well from the videos and pics to be sure.
