Injuried pekin duck with eye and hip injury.

@Lboom , welcome to BYC! I have very limited experience with bone issues that high up and don't know the best way to treat them. The last one was a Muscovy drake with a fracture in the hip area. With him I decided to place him in a small pen (3' diameter) with food placed in front of him. After a few weeks in there he was able to stand and take small steps.

I will look for some info for you.

Thank you for everyone for the advice. Would brewers yeast be any help or some type of vitamins? I know brewers yeast will help with leg injuries, but thinking of vitamins for to help with wounds around eyes and healing.

BY is more for developmental leg issues in ducklings and young ducks. I agree with @Amiga and @Miss Lydia that a supplement added to the water would probably be the best option in your case.

The Vetericyn that Miss Lydia mentions comes in both a wash and a gel. When we have eye issues in our ducks, I wash the eye out thoroughly with the wash, which is like water, them use a couple of drops of the gel over and around the eye. The gel clings to the area where it's applied and lasts much longer than the wash.
