Injury to 5 day old duckling

If that is the only injury then I think the duckling has a very good chance of surviving.

It has an open spot on its neck. You can see muscle but it has stopped bleeding. Drinking good.

I use a coffee grinder and have also put one into a baggie and used a hammer

Between two spoons works pretty well.

If you decide to use it you will want to grind up one pill and mix it with 20 ml of water, stir/snake well, then give 0.24 ml orally twice a day. Refrigerate after making.

Note that the pills are not water soluble, so the powder will most likely settle quickly. If for some reason it floats, I would not try to use this.

So the duckling is still alive ! I started the Augmentin Sunday morning. Today was the 4th dose. The swelling had gone down some. It's eye is functioning. Looking good so far!
