Input on this Silver Spangled Hamburg

We received this SPH cockerel as a free exotic chick with our order from Murray McMurray, hatched 2/20. My son might enter him in the local county fair (August). My son is very fearful of roosters after our last one went after him aggressively on a few occasions before we got rid of him. Two questions:
1) Is there a typical disposition for this breed? So far, at almost 4 months old, he has given us a few hard looks when we have handled the hens, and possibly ran towards my son once; but has not really puffed up his feathers or anything. He is starting to show an interest in the hens. We handled our last rooster a lot, and it didn't help, so with this one we are taking a hands off approach and, hopefully my kids will be able to, just ignoring any behavior so he doesn't get a reaction from us.
2) What do you think of his confirmation? I don't have an American SOP to compare him to, so wondering how he stacks up. He is just a hatchery bred bird, not from show stock so I know he will have some shortcomings. I also don't think there will be too many others of his breed at the fair, if any.
