My name is Stephanie, and I'm hoping to learn as much as possible about chickens before buying and caring for them.

My goal in the future is to have a few chickens as pets and provide eggs for our family, and local consumers. Although I may not be able to start this new journey for another 3 years, I'm hoping BackyardChickens can help me gain all the knowledge possible to provide adequate care.

I'm here to learn the tips and tricks from all the people who are going to be the best teachers through sharing their personal experiences.

I really needed to meet you today! It is so refreshing when I meet people that care enough about animals to spend time & energy to educate themselves before acquiring them. Even people like myself that have raised chickens for years, continue to learn from others. Especially on BYC. Knowledge is the key to success! So happy your here! :ya
