Insane chicken?

Im having problems with my girl baby she is guarding the nest .Houdini,also a girl ,long story is fighting her over it to the death.Houdini is in the house now with an injured comb and face. Baby is chasing the others out of the coop when they want to come in to lay. I have 11 birds with 12 boxes so space and quantity is fine. This is the second time I have seen this of her. Last time she was just pulling a few feathers and leaving indignantly. HELP!

That sounds as if she is broody or the hens are trying to lay in the same nesting box as her. My broody did that the ENTIRE time.

She might be broody and the other chicken wants THAT box.
You need to break the broody and separate the aggressor from the others so she can learn her place.
You have too many boxes, you only need about 5 for that many chickens, otherwise you're losing a lot of space to unused boxes.

Thank you i will bring her in after i get Houdini patched up. Any tips on comb wounds? I am using vetericyn spray.
