Inside of egg

I do have oyster shell free choice on the side, I also feed them back their cooked egg shells.

Maybe I should stop giving the eggs away until I see if there is a pattern. What do you think?

I would stop giving them away for like, a week, and check the eggs daily. Try to single out which hen it was, if you can. If you don’t find another one in like 3 days, I’d say you’re good to go.

Candle give aways...
Tell em to crack into a bowl first... I even do that with Store bought...

Telling them to crack into a bowl is always a good idea, in case anything is wrong with them.

Not sure how to read your comment, do you think it is the chalazae?

And I agree regarding FB!!
I was saying if Azygus commented that it was Not Calazae.... Because the criteria is not INdicative... Then Its NOT Calazae because I Trust her as a source of Information.

Please there are alot of good people here on BYC That Give you the straight info... And I was agreeing with all the ones that posted. Listen to them.

@perchie.girl I appreciate your confidence in me, but I think you might have misread my posts #4 & #8. In the first one, I opined the squiggly, ropy thing was chalazae. And then in #8, I mentioned that salpingitis is a waxy substance that normally occurs in the poop, not the egg.

My brain often gets stuff backwards. Maybe you remembered these posts as being swapped. The brain plays tricks on us, especially as it ages. My brain is no doubt full of chalazae and salpingitis.

I hear you LOL

Looks like she thinks it is chalazae which would make me happy that’s it’s not an infection.

I do trust this forum over anything else I read online. !!

It’s in the trash. The blob was soft with a small nodule. It didn’t really feel like anything. No real consistency.
I've never seen anything like it.
I wouldn't eat it if it were mine.

Have you ever had an illness in your flock?
