Inside of hard boiled egg has purple color layer

I told her not to eat it . And she got rid of the egg so I guess we won't know what the whole egg looked like . I would have liked to see it too .

....For the future, but hopefully it won't be needed...
I tell my customers if they get a funky egg to put the whole thing in a container in the fridge for me to see..

This just happened to someone on my local page but it was not cooked. Just cracked open.

Have you ever seen purple in an egg shell that is not cooked and the egg did not have any purple showing in it.

I sell eggs to some friends and she hard boiled her eggs and when she peeled it, the inside albumen layer was purple . She did not dye the eggs. Had anyone ever seen this or know what it could be caused by? Is it safe to eat? Thank you for any help!

I had this same thing happen this morning. I have chooks and have never come accross this before, so am also keen for any answers.
