I don't usually sleep well at night. But, I am GREAT at falling asleep during the day or evening, especially if there is something I really want to see on TV. Once I settle in on the sofa, there's no guarantee I will be awake for any amount of time at all, regardless of the time of day.

Thank goodness for DVR so I can -- at some point -- watch the ending of movies, ball games and game shows.

For many years, I got up at 4:20 a.m. so I could be at work by 6. Although those days are well behind me, I cannot sleep late, no matter what. So, I am most actively posting on BYC in the wee hours; sounds like we might run across each other then. :)

We are literally the same haha every single time there is something I want to watch I fall asleep 🤣😅
My husband gets SO mad at me because I can never stay awake during a movie!

Count me in. I have had a hard time sleeping well for over 50 years now. Evil insomnia came to visit me in my late 20's and never left the house.
I feel like mine started in my early 20s. I took medication for years but stopped after my oldest was born because I had to be up in the middle of the night

I usually either get 12 hours of sleep or 2 hours of sleep. There is no in between. Given that it is 1:32 am I think it is pretty obvious which one that is. Anyway, hello.
I feel that. And I swear on the nights that I’m able to sleep one of my children wake me up 😑 once I’m awake I’m up for awhile. I can’t just fall back asleep

While this is my usual "getting-up time," I first got up about three hours ago and spent the ensuing hours sacked out on the kitchen floor.

Long story short: someone dumped stray cats here; one had kittens; I'm trying to find homes for the kittens; there's lot of coyotes out and about.

So, big rescue dog starts barking about 1 a.m., I dash outside to take a kitty census and yell at coyotes who were singing way too close to the house. Of course, then I'm too awake and too worried to go upstairs and even try to sleep.

I pulled out a blanket and a pillow, and did my best to sleep on a tile floor, next to the glass back door so I would be able to get outside ASAP for any needed rescues.

Good news: Everyone just had their breakfast on the deck. I plan on doing some serious napping later.

Bad news: In a floor-induced dream, someone said they wanted to talk to me, and I told them they could find me where I lived -- and I pointed to the building where I worked for more than 20 years. No dream that includes my previous place of employment is ever a happy one.

Wow! Crazy night!!! Thank you for taking care of those sweet kittens ❤️

I slept better than usual last night. I think it was because I was up so late after a hard days work on the farm. I was totally exhausted when I went to bed after taking meds for pain and cramps. It's going to be another hot one today but thankfully not nearly as hot as it has been the last few days. l mostly likely will sleep in spurts tonight.
