Where are you getting 8 hours a day? It's not going to sleep the other 16 hours

I am in school for 8 hours a day so I want the duck to have food and water available inside its habitat.

nobody is saying domestic animals should be released into the wild. people who care for their parrots properly don't keep them in a tiny cage all day either.

i'm in school 8 hours a day too. but my ducks are never stuck in a tiny cage alone with no other ducks. that is animal abuse.
