Inspiring video I saw and thought I would share...

I just saw this video today and it really inspired me. This guy did all this on a tenth of an acre! It was an award winning short film in 2009. Hope everybody gets something out of it.

Wow! Thank you so much for sharing this. I would like to meet this family. They all look so happy and healthy. Even though we have a little more space.....this way of thinking has brought my daughter/family back home. I can"t wait to share this with her.

Very inspiring video.

I recently bought a book named, The Backyard Homestead (http://www.amazon.com/Backyard-Homestead-Guide-Raising-Animals/dp/1603429697). It deals with producing all the food you need on just 1/4 acre of land. I thought this was amazing, and this guy is doing it on just 1/10 acre of land. Either way, there are so many benefits to this type of living.

LOVE LOVE LOVE

!!! Luckily we own 3 acres and have a huge garden every spring, summer, and fall. And this year we have took on chickens, ducks, and quail. We can our food and everything is antibiotic and pesticide and hormone free. I love to see more and more people taking on this kind of living. Genetically modified foods are a horrible thing.

Speaking of GMO's and such, it was on the news yesterday that 22 children at a school in India died from eating a school provided lunch that was laden with pesticide. They think it was the soybeans that did it. Almost all soybeans in the world today are genetically modified with the "Roundup Ready" gene, so they can pile as much Round Up pesticide on the soy plant without harming the plant, only killing the weeds around it. Because of the fact that certain weeds are growing immune to Round Up, they spray even more on the soy, making the soy even more harmful to eat. 22 poor children dead, and another 25 are being hospitalized at this very moment...

lets hope they get better.

I do not trust the Main stream media. They are the ones that will twist things around for their own benefit the loss of any children is really bad no matter what the cause. but on another note GMO'S ARE BAD!!!!!!!

Wow! This is so sad! I do hope they find the cause and no more children will suffer. I have issues with soybeans. IMO.....They are not meant for human consumption but they are in everything! My Granddaughter is highly allergic to soybeans. She was 10 years old before we discovered this. Poor thing hadn't felt good a day of her life. She was miserable and we couldn't figure out why. Once we found out it was soybeans, and started to read labels...we were amazed! We also discovered "soy" goes by many other names.....Guar, Xanthan, Miso, Alkyd Resin, and the list goes on! I have a link with a list if anyone is interested. Anyway, my Granddaughter is a different child now. We watch everything she consumes. Actually....she does too! She reads the labels before we do! Most things are homemade and homegrown around here! I tell her, finding about about her allergy was a good thing! We are all eating healthier now!
