Integrating 7 week old chicks

Gotta start somewhere. Flock temperaments differ, so no plan should be set in cement. Tweak things as you go.

Watch the weather. Avoid any extremes until the chicks are all hardened to cold. Stand ready to referee and make alterations as needed.

You have lots of ideas to draw from and make into something you can use for your own purposes. Don't get discouraged. Chicks will adjust eventually to just about anything.

I put them back into garage brooder for tonight. Going to work on all your panic room suggestions tomorrow! Thankfully I don’t really have to deal with cold to much! The lowest it has been getting is in the 30s. That is not regular. Sunday nights low is 60 so that may be a good night to try under the coop! Thank you everyone!

UPDATE

All is well in the coop. The babies are fully integrated and sleeping with the bigs in the big coop for a couple weeks now. I was able to take the barrier/escape room down last week. They have even mixed groups and dust bathed with each other a couple of times! They do stick with their groups mostly, but very minimal chasing and everyone seems to be getting along! 17 weeks and 10 weeks old now. Thanks to all for your help!!!!
