Yeah, for sure.Nice!
May not be a blue egg but it'll still make for a nice contribution to your egg bowl!
do EEs lay blue eggs?, thought they would always be green tinted or darker,Yeah, he's a looker for sure...and he's nice bird too.
Saw him yesterday dust bathing with some of the pullets.....
.....and then today one pullet almost looked to be sparing with him, then was preening his face, and 2-3 others scampering around him.
I thought he was going to mount one of them but he didn't, tho he's had a few and I got this years first pullet egg today.
This is from one of my hatchery EE girls.... slate legs, pea combed, and muffed...but green, not blue

the blue comes in the early stages of shell developement, one parent would have had the blue gene, the other a very pale brown to give the green tint, which is added late before laying. as you should see on the inside of the egg, it should be blue.Yeah, for sure.
Wanted a new blue layer to make Olive Eggers with Woody.
Tho that's not the best cross to use, can't afford the other pure breeds.
Have 4 more hatchery EE pullets to wait for a blue, and 5 more crosses(an F1 and BC1's) that could be a decent olive.
