Hi all,
I have 9 7-week old pullets, 5 bantams, and 2 standard (all hens).
Currently, the pullets are separated from the other 7 chickens, but they are in the same coop. (See picture). They can squeeze under their fencing join the big chickens at their leisure, but the big chickens can’t get into their home. No one is getting pecked and all seem content with the arrangement.
However, I have one concern- feed. Pullets are on medicated chick feed still, but I plan to switch them to grower feed soon. Since they seem happy commingling, I want to fully integrate them within the next 2 weeks or so.
What is the best way to approach this, while making sure the adult chickens only eat their layer feed and the Pullets eat the grower feed?
