Hi,
I am fairly new to ducks and have a question. I have a pair of Rouens and a pair of Cayugas that I am free ranging in my back yard. They get on pretty well and waddle all around together. About a month ago I got a pair of Call ducks and have kept them penned so far. I would like to free range the Calls with the others but when I tried it yesterday the female was immediately jumped by the male Cayuga (I had the Rouens penned to make a simpler introduction) because of the size difference I was worried he would really hurt or kill her.
Am I worrying for nothing or is there a real danger, especailly if the male Rouen also joins in the fray once he is on the loose? I would like them to all be free range but...
Thanks
Irene
