Intelligent Black bird

This morning I was sitting watching my flock of chickens which is normal for me to do. I happened to look over the fence at my neighbors yard. They have a dog kennel close to my fence. I saw a black bird land on the dog food dish and pick up a piece of dog food. He then hopped over to the water bowl and dropped the piece of dog food in the water. He let it set there for a moment and picked it up,then dropped it in the water again. He kept that up until the piece of dog food was soft enough for him to eat. I would say that was one smart bird.

Very smart! I've heard that they can learn to speak . Has anyone tried?

Yes..they are VERY very smart critters. Very good at figuring things out..almost creepy smart..
