I did my first incubation this year also! Got three beautiful Easter Eggers! 2 hens 1 rooster.

Very exciting! I just put my third batch on lock down this evening! The last batch, which hatched on the 4th of July, didn't do great. I ended up with 2 black copper Maran's roosters, and 1 hen, a pair of banty barnevelders and a blue laced barnevelder hen, and one olive egger roo. Who is just black with slight copper on his hackles. Barely noticeable. Out of two dozen eggs. These eggs are a few from my grandma in Southern California, and a few of mine that should be olive eggers.
