I love asparagus and spinach, I grow both for many years, You haven't even tasted them if you have not had home grown, smothered in fresh butter with salt. The stuff you buy in the store tastes like tin cans and around here the fresh store-bought asparagus is always tough and stringy. I cut only tender shoots in the spring. I even eat them raw they are so sweet.

Well, in a nutshell, I was choking on it and couldn't breathe for nearly a minute, then my sister had to pull it out of my throat after thinking I was messing around.
After that, I never came close to it. I didn't like the taste or smell. It was one of the first times I tried it.

We grew it for a few years. Nobody ended up liking it so we stopped.
