I have a RIR I got last february. She was an adult, at least a year old when I got her, so not sure of her exact age. She laid beautiful speckled decorated eggs for a few months, then stopped in early summer. She had what I believe was sour crop a month or so after stopping laying, but recovered from that. Didn't start laying again though. Then last fall she laid a gross tumor looking thing, and I figured she was done for good. She's been hanging out around the nest boxes though, and today I found a pullet sized egg that doesn't look like anyone elses. It has speckles and looks a lot like her eggs she used to lay, just not quite as prettily decorated. Has anyone had an internal layer recover? Will she lay normally or start back internally again?
