Internal lump? Squishy?

3 week old chick has this ball lump in between it's legs. Has had it since birth, doesn't seem to bother it, it's not hard or has any real shape to it. If it was on a human I would say some sort of hernia or hemorrhoid, or hole in abdomen wall. When the chick chirps it moves with the chirping and breathing. Any ideas?

Thanks! Uhh I mean it's squishy enough and if I press it it goes back up into the actual chick, but I don't think it's air under the skin, feels more internal than that. It hasn't changed shape or size since chick was born. I am a vet nurse but never really dealt much with chickens. It's well and growing and keeping up with the others so it's not causing any issues, just an odd thing. It was a chick I had to help out of egg as the membrane got stuck on it. Thought it may of been something to do with the yolk but I have no idea really

OK.
Just checking it wasn't air which would indicate a ruptured air sac.
Since it will go back inside the chick, you are probably correct that it's a hernia.

I'll tag in @Eggcessive and @coach723 I don't think there's much that can be done except wait and see if it heals...

I would guess as well that it is a hernia that pops out when the chick strains. I would make a note of it, and make sure that you can identify the same pullet as it grows to check on this. Hernias can close up, as I experienced with a small kitten I found. I kept reducing it or pushing it back in for a couple of days. But some require surgery. I would not get surgery, but there have been hens with hernias who have had abdominal that hernias burst. That is a death sentence.
