Internal pip to external pip

So now its my turn im on day 21 and i know all was live a well at day 18 my tep is 99,7 and my hum is stabme at 65 im pretty sure i hear a little bit of internal peeping but it stops for some time and then starts again and stops you get the memo still the have been no external peeping and its about 5 hours since i heared the first peep from the egg's i have not opened my incubator at all since day 18 should i worry

Still no external pip. Chick is still peeping and moving. Called my husband at home and asked him to raise the humidity to 65-70 from 63. Not sure what else I should do at this point. I won't be home from work for another 3 hours. :(

I am fairly new to this incubation thing myself but I have a friend who has been do I g this for a while and she said your humidity needs to be 80% at lockdown through hatch or you may be helping them all hatch because they will be too dry to do it themselves.

Hi can someone help me !! I heard my chick internally pip but now it’s silent is it normal for them to take a break before they go from internal to external ??
Yes a break is normal. It takes time for the blood vessels to finish absorbing. If you get nervous hop on over the the hands on hatching thread.... the reading is great and the folks there know their stuff! I usually make a small breathing hole if it's been a Long time....just gives them a little more oxygen till they make the external pip.

How long do you usually wait before providing them the hole for more oxygen ?

He’s been chirping inside the shell since 10 am should I give him a oxygen hole

It takes 24 hours for a chick that has already pipped the egg... Your chick just needs some time to pip some more.

Everyone has their own comfort zone when it comes to helping..... some don't help because they feel if the chick was not strong enough to get out on it's own they don't want to have to potentially baby it when its older..... I would take something small like a straight pin and put a small (for more oxygen not for you to see through) hole maybe as big around as the pin only. But I would give them a solid 12-24 hours. First.... again this is my comfort level. The hands on hatching thread does have some amazing reading

Would you wait 12 or 24 hours ?

It would depend on how things look.... how big is the air cell? If it's a little small I would go earlier if its large wait longer.... if I am busy I only get to check them in the morning and evening, so I would make decisions at those times....
