Yesterday I heard peeps coming from one of my eggs at day 23 I candled to find an internal pip, since then the egg has wobbled a little but today there are no peeps and I hear the baby in there trying to peck through the shell what im wondering is how much air does he have left in there since he still hasn't cracked the shell or made any sort of external pip? Should I try to give him a breather hole?? Any advice please and thank you!!! :)

See if @madamiec or @Lacrystol or @Amykins or other hatchers might help - I am not a hatcher, but I think you may need to make a safe hole, I think they call it . . .

Where is the temp at and the humidty at and do u have a fan? Also what kind of egg chicken, duck, goose??

I would spritz th egg with water and leave it as long as you hear the pecking it is fine...if you make a hole it could dry out too fast or hatch early...both are bad...I know it is hard to wait. Duck? Chicken? Old eggs?

Temp is at 101 humidity around d 60% and duck eggs rouens or swedish i think, about an hour ago humidity was around 77%. I did end up giving him a breather hole, I'm glad I did because it was super dry on the inside in both membranes, he's breathing much better now and peeping agqin, he has wet paper towels around him to dry and keep the membranes moist also, should I up the humidity to around 70% maybe?

Get rid of the paper towels your humidty is already high enough don't let it get past 80

The paper towels is only going to reduce his warmth so get rid of them and if he's not out by tomorrow let me know. He should make progress from here on but just in case will keep an eye on him.

Ok paper towels are removed no progress on breaking the shell I wet the inner membrane with my finger and water

I got the mebrane wet and all veins have dried up no blood so I pulled some more shell and outer membrane off and made the hole bigger without disturbing the inner membrane, should I try to peel some of the inner membrane back so he can bust outta there?

And he's halfway out now :)
