International Black Copper Marans Thread - Breeding to the SOP

I’m loving looking at your pullets trying to figure out what my 2 eight week old blue birchen pullets might look like when they are older

Thank you! This is the first time I have had Birchen and Blue Birchen. Blue Copper Marans have always been my favorite. I am not sure which is my favorite anymore. The whites are really pretty also. The Birchen/Blue Birchen are beautiful also. My one white layed me a egg today. Small but pretty dark for a white Marans.

65 marans eggs in the battor yesterday 1am ,
20 Wheaten eggs from one breeders friend of mine , no far from me .NSW
45 egg mixture of 17 wheaten .10 BLC , 12 BC and and 6 Dominant white .all from WA ,

all happening ,some photos when I ll go back home .

you have some stunning Blue Silver cuckoo and Blue cuckoo pullets . great type .great blue with stunning lacing . love the silver on they hackle ,no much of it but good quality .

I ll comment on them individual when i m home in fews days , no my lap top ,

Thank you, I only have the one Blue silver Cuckoo. The rest are Blue Birchen. I am sure you know that just misprint. Thank you, I appreciate your help. I have not had Birchen/blue Birchen or blue silver Cuckoo before. Whites are new to me also. This is definitely a learning experience.

You got eggs from over by me? How difficult was that? I am sure one would have to be NPIP certified. Which I am not or I could share with you.

Lost my blue copper Chester last night. He was such a good roo and I was really excited to pair him up with 1 of my girls. His comb was huuuuge and he lost a couple points last year but this weather really wrecked him. I think I probably should have cut it off

I dont have a blue but I do have a black. His eyes are marbled and not great but his copper is much better. How hard is it to work with bad eyes?
