International Black Copper Marans Thread - Breeding to the SOP

Blue cuckoo pullet X Black Birchen = will throw all birchen pullets Blue and Black plus all barred male .Dark cuckoo cockerel Black and Blue.
Birchen and silver cuckoo { Black or Blue} give great result in a breeding pen ,because the cuckoo marans is a Birchen based not Uniform E/E like most people think .
cuckoo marans is ER/ER not E/E.

How will I get everything back to Birchen/Blue Birchen? Sorry for the dumb questions.

Blue tail and Black Tail Buff Marans cockerels .
those type of cockerel s are really helpful in a breeding pens ,I use them a lot for testing when fully mature , they help me to test all the marans hens for the purity of they body color .
those are a asset for any marans breeding farm .shame no many peoples have them .

love they long bodies and purity of they buff color . every thing is nice about them .hope they mature into gorgeous cockerels .

if she lay dark eggs ,than you can use her barred sons over her to make a silver cuckoo line , you can mate them to a birchen hens .they ll throw half barred and half Birchen ,pullets and cockerels .
you can work with them all time ,because the cuckoo genes always show up even with one copy as dark cuckoo ,the rest will be birchen 50% .

if you are only interested in breeding only Birchen ,than Cull all the barred cockerels .not if they mama silver cuckoo lay dark eggs .
keep only the pullets from this cross ,all the pullets will be pure birchen Blue and Black.

I think I just want to stick with Birchen/Blue Birchen. Try and improve them and egg color. I think between the Birchen/Blue Birchen, Black Copper/ Blue Copper and Whites. They may be more than I can handle. I don't need to add more.

White Rhino ,son of Spotted Rhino X Sari Dominant white hen { split Blue copper }
this rooster is line bred left on the farm with 6 other rooster when I sold on my chooks .
his Sire Spotted Rhino is a son of Bella ,Blue copper hen ,half sister to Sari .both are Daughters of Scorpion { original not the Grand son }
so he is inbred to Scorpion . he do have Scorpion is in both side of his pedigree Sire and Dam.
Now I have to wait tell the eggs from WA hatch ,those eggs carries a same gene to my White Rhino . they are half sisters and half brothers . Fingers cross ,I get few nice dominant white pullets .
here White Rhino . big massive rooster 14 months old.every thing is correct about him except his comb is a little bigger . good texture and number of points .

the cockerel is a true Blue wheaten .he is going a be gorgeous looking when fully mature .

the pullet I can no tell ,I need a better photos like the cockerel . .

unfortunately there are no btb, even no wheaten marans here.

she look to me over colored birchen or Blue golden salmon .
if she is a sister to the cockerel than both of them are Blue golden salmon.

test mating is the only way to know the true genetic make up of any chook .
