this guy has great markings, but then there are extra markings and some shafting. How over marked is way too over marked?

I thought I would post a updated picture of this guy. I think this guy ended up the best out of the three. What do you all think of him? This one has changed so much. I added some pictures of his two gals also. There is a third Blue Copper hen but she is the one that injured her leg.

I love that the silver is nice and clean. I had some that where brassy.

I do see a nice cockerel coloring up correctly . pure silver .
let do do more growing he is going to be well coloured for sure.

his comb and hackle coloring are his weakest point . every thing else is correct .

How difficult do you think this will be? I don't have much diversity. The hackle coloring has me the most worried. I dont have much to work with. Just the three hens and one not doing well. I did candle my eggs since the power outage. About a dozen where clear but the rest where alive.

no bird is perfect. I guess he has enough good points to be a keeper. you need a dark hen to fix that halo.

@Chooks man these are for sale:

there are other 2 hens but I don't know what colours. there is also a golden cuckoo roo but I am after silver gene pool. is there any worth buying? they probably are mixed colours.

I would like to produce silver birchen marans.

Well, I really didn't have any other choice. One Cockerel ended up with so much white in his tail. I definitely didn't want to use him. The other one is so mean and he just didn't get the size. So much smaller than the other two. I would have posted pictures of them but he is so mean I couldn't get a good picture of them. I tried! This was the best I could get. He had me pinned. ATTACH!!! Lol I think they are going soon.
