International Black Copper Marans Thread - Breeding to the SOP

I did a big cull late spring/ early summer and kept only these original hens for their dark eggs. I will get photos of line #2 hens.
so they do lay dark eggs . than we have to keep the best one for back crossing especialy from line #2 .because Seamus is/was from line #3 .so we need to make sure we are keeping line #2 going .

I used to have Pilgrim and African geese. They were nice to have around. I had Campbell ducks for a few years too. It was hard to keep them alive. They were always the first to be eaten by predators.

I love the breeds you have chosen.

I see now .they all have large combs ,they are from the same line but they have different body type and style .
hen one is very chunky and thick .very long flat back ,minimum hackle marking .
second hen look medium size with a complete hackle marking ,
the third hen is lighter with a better comb compare to the other 2 hens . I think she is the BellaLuna mother , similar style in they body type ,comb and marking .
we are looking for the one who lay dark eggs for back crossing in the future to reinforce the dark eggs genes .
you keep the one who lay dark eggs .

@Punkybrewster . in this photo I see yellow tag cockerel in the front , the one behind him is the one I like ,I commented on him before . the one on the right facing away from them I think he is the one with a high tail . but the one on the far left only can see his head and neck .I like his comb .look it is free from deformity .the points are well spaced and balanced , the lobe look high and clean . who is he I need his photos .
I think the other cockerel he is not in the photos is the one with a double point in his comb ( M type I commented on him before ) correct me if I m wrong .
