I bought these BCM in April of last year. Their feet are overly feathered and they have lots of white. First time I have ever had a hen with white. Lots of white feathers on the roosters feet.

Hi Red Banks, I like him a lot. We are in the same boat with the white. I will be culling all the Blcm cockerels here hopefully soon and the blcm rooster. I think I am only going to breed black on black this year and picking the ones with the least white. Since all of the cockerels have white underfluff. There was one that had less white underfluff but haven't checked him in a while and I dont know how he is now. Hopefully it will help but that white is a pain without bringing in new blood which I don't want to do. So I am aiming for less white.

Thanks! I hope they are decently dark. I have an Ameraucana rooster, so we could have the possibilty of getting some olive eggers someday too

I went out last night and got a look at the cockerels underfluff. I have 2 of them that have less white underfluff on hackles. I didn't see any on back by tail. It was gray. I forgot to look to see if they had white in tail feathers by the base. It was so cold I wanted to look and run. Lol The white leg band had the least white underfluff. The orange band was pretty good also just a little more. I don't know which I was looking at just band colors. The other 2 had lots of white underfluff in hackles.

One tag was light orange they call it yellow. The other was darker orange. Now I am unsure which orange tag had the least white underfluff. What do you all think of blue bands underfluff white almost grey? Starting with blue leg band this post. I really like this one but whitish underfluff in hackles. His tail is scraggly.

Chooks man, What do you think of this one? In my mind it is the winner. White tag has least white underfluff! My plan is to keep 2 cockerels. One for a backup.

Yellow tag "light orange" I actually like this one better than dark orange tag. I am hoping this is the one with least white underfluff. I will check tonight. Checked and least white between the dark and light orange leg band. I really like him! He has one little broke off white toe feather. White and light orange have the least white in toe feathers.
