soe thing is wrong with left wing , he is holding them loose .can you check him please see what a problem ,is he just because he s been handdled or he has a split wing ?hope not

I noticed this but remember him telling me their doing a juvenile molt. There is a space between 2 flight feathers.

I wonder if it is split wing?

The Blue band hasn t got this type of wing .

I think I need to cull the 2 cockerels we saved from spring hatch. The ones that developed bent legs.
I will be needing room for the 3 new cockerels and any cockerel chicks and pullets from LS and MS

a problem I m having is why the have a similar hanging LEFT wing ,why not the right one ,
bizare to me but could be just te molt like he said .
i m just trying to make sure we are not missing any thing , we have to get alright this time .
check and check again ,and when we finish checking we restart checking again and again .trait by trait all the important post .

Love them all! Those girls are really lovely.

Me too!
They are going to set me on the right track.

Now, when I look at mine, I see exactly what my goal is.

I'm tempted to cull everyone and keep only the couple of my hens that look like these.

But I need to see egg color too. That's important. The ugly hens lay the darkest.

I know.
I told him I need good type. That was #1 priority.
He had 4 cockerels available and I took 3.

I didn't ask questions.

If it is split wing, how very bad would that be?

don t think about it culling everyone ,
the new one are not tested yet .let them prove them selves first . don t give them any plus yet because they look prety .
