lot chicks hatched today 75 and still more hatching .all helthy . this is my first big hatch of the years .5 rooster sired the hatch .4 marans and one olive eggers .

Looks like you got that incubator all dialed in. Lots of good healthy looking chicks this time.

We have a snow possible here tomorrow as well. Just a dusting, maybe an inch in some scattered places. I’m not looking forward to it because my job is outside a little bit of snow makes things tough.

Here are a couple quick shots of my girls hatched out June 26 so a week and a half behind yours

Hard to predict puberty. Different breeds, different strains, different locations, day length, etc can all influence start of lay.

Just my opinion

I think their combs will plump up a bit more and their faces will get more red before you see eggs.

The wait is difficult. They look healthy. That's all you can do.

Your babies look as big as mine from what I can tell.

mine are growing big for sure. They are larger than my olive Eggers that I got in march. But their combs and wattles are still small and pink. They don’t look anywhere near ready to lay.

Yea I know they will lay when they are ready. I’m just impatient lol. There is a whole lot of waiting in the chicken world. Set eggs and wait for hatch. I hear ya there. Angel was in the nestboxes today for about 10 minutes. Kept rolling eggs under her and then she'd nestle down then get back up. I was so excited like it was the first egg I've ever seen .... Kept checking to see if she laid but nope she finally just wandered out. Just strolled past me like... "What?!"

Pullets practice. lol Often. I've had several that push all the straw out of the nest box. Then move to the another box.

some stunning hatchdown colours .especialy from the F2 Easter eggers all sort some I never seen before I ll take photos when I have time .lot to do this days work never end in my world .
