Are these both hens?! Bought them as a breeding pair but as I learn about the breed I am thinking they are both pullets. Forgive me... I am new![]()

Pullet on the left - looks to me to be a blue. Cockerel on the right - looks to be a BCM. What breed / variety did the seller say they were? If you have a black and a blue then the chicks will be 50 / 50 split between black and blue.

Black is for sure a roo. Blue looks maybe to be a pullet.
How old are the two?
the one on the left ( light blue ) is a pullet and good type too .well chunky and great blue tone .

the one on the right . he is a cockerel ,Dark blue copper . lighter hackle . He is not Black for sure .
Dark Blue work well with a Lighter Blue ( Balance ) between the two extreme blues .
