I ended up with this little fella out of a black and blue copper breeding, my first thought was a splash but it's not showing and other colors on its feathers. It's pure white.

any ideas ?

I asked Monique Bertie to look at the cockerels. She said not to use the cockerel in the second picture because of the halo. She liked the cockerel in the first picture. View attachment 1351223

if you have a choice it is ok. but I breed cockerels with the halo. one ended up with just a bit of halo. he is my future breeder.

things went bad with buying a plot. I am still looking for one. it makes me nervous as I am running late for everything.

not an expert but I do see some grayish coming out. be patient.

I see the grayish down on the head and it also has more gray on the wings but they are feathering out white. So confused.

I was out gardening and found a pullet egg in the dirt. Not bad! Very dark! I must have washed the bloom off when I washed the dirt off. I have to get the color chart out, I think this pullet egg is a 7 possibly an 8. The picture is way off the actual color.
