Is Elvis the same age as mine? About 5-6 months. So nice! I gave away (free) 7 cockerels from these two groups. I need better connections!

Chooks Man.... you make me want to rehome all my chickens that are not BCM. I have always felt so defeated with this breed. Thank you for your encouragement.

Why did you choose Darwin 2 over Elvis? So I can learn.

I pick Darwin for many reason ;
1) when they hatched Darwin2 and his sister where more blackish .Elvis was penguin type with more white.
2) Darwin2 grow faster and heavier .
3) Darwin is better type wider with a deep chest ( you can see a difference between they chest ) Elvis taller and slimmer plus dark back.
4) darwin hatched from darker egg 6 .Elvis number 5

this are a four reasons I picked Darwin over Elvis.

Don t forget I m dealing with a brother s from a same parent stock.

In these two groups of mine I had two types of colored chicks. Some were dusty black, they weren't cute like the penguin type. I went to the LP site and saw that is what her chicks looked. They were ragamuffin chicks for a long time and then they bloomed.

So many elements to this. I haven't even gotten to the egg part! Won't that be eggciting!

wow you have a nice pullets there.
great type and nice hackles. pure Black .long backs ,correct tail .

first one Golden hackle with not be paired with cock 2. good with cock 3

2 pullets .in the front fluffy back great coppery hackle go very well with cock 2

second pullet I can t tell .from from she look a great type with a nice hackle.

the pullet are better to be selected when they start laying. they have to be picked recording to the color of they eggs.

Rooster picked for they type and body color.

the Hen get picked for the quality of they eggs and laying ability .

Nice type and nice hackles need just eggs color.
